DATA PROTECTION LAWS

This policy explains how we comply with laws & regulations in both our respective countries as well as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) & the Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (“the PECR”) relating to electronic communications (jointly & severally, “the Law”).

Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Statement describes our privacy practices for the personal information we collect in the usual course of business, including through our services, sites, products, online facilities, services & other initiatives such as retreats, marketing, seminars, webinars & trainings.

Privacy Policy

Path of Bliss reviews our Privacy Policy periodically, & we reserve the right, at our discretion, to modify or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time.  We suggest you review this page from time to time so that you can be aware of any changes.  This Privacy Policy applies to all websites produced & operated by Path of Bliss.

Collection & Use

Path of Bliss acknowledges the understandable general privacy concerns you may have as a user of any website on the Internet as well as the specific importance of protecting the privacy of all personally identifiable information (PII) you may give us.   PII is any information about you as an individual that would enable someone to contact you – for example, your name, address, telephone number or email address.  As a general rule, no PII, such as any visitor’s name, address, email address, telephone number or credit card information is automatically collected on our websites.

PII is collected only when you knowingly & voluntarily submit the same, such as when we collect information to allow us to set up / open a user account on your behalf, &/or when you complete surveys, use our services &/or reach out to us for support, such as your name, shipping address, billing address, email address, phone number, user ID, & password.  Path of Bliss websites utilize PII only for the purpose for which it was submitted, unless we disclose other uses in this Policy or at the time of collection, or when we are required by law to disclose it.

We do not & will not collect any PII about you unless you willingly provide it.  Providing PII to us is entirely voluntary.  If you do not want us to obtain PII about you, please do not submit any.

We ask for PII when you subscribe to an email newsletter, order a product or a website subscription or other product or service, participate in an online survey, post a comment or use a service or tool such as emailing a page.

When you visit a Path of Bliss website, certain anonymous information about your visit is automatically logged, as it is at most websites, which may include information about your IP address, domain name, browser type, mobile device type, access time, & referring website address.  This information is not personally identifiable in any way & is only used in the aggregate & not in any way that personally identifies you.

On some Path of Bliss web pages, you may choose to submit information about other people.  For example, you might submit a recipient’s name & address to send a gift or to register your children for a retreat or similar event.  We will use this information only to fulfill your request & for no other purpose.

Path of Bliss does not & never will knowingly collect PII from children under the age of thirteen (13) without verified parental consent.  Anyone under the age of thirteen (13) must seek & obtain parent or guardian permission to use this website, & the same must be provided to us in writing.  If it is determined that such information has been inadvertently collected on anyone under the age of thirteen (13), we will take whatever immediate steps needed to ensure that such information is removed from our system’s database.

You can visit & browse our web pages without revealing any PII, but you may not be able to access certain content, features or services if you choose not to disclose PII.

Security, Data Retention & Erasure

We maintain reasonable & appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity, & privacy of all information in our possession.  Path of Bliss does not sell PII to third parties.  Path of Bliss will never disclose, sell, trade or rent PII it collects to outside parties, though we may be required to disclose such information by law, in which case Path of Bliss may provide your information, including personal information, to courts, law enforcement or governmental authorities or authorized third parties, to the extent we are required to do so by law or if such disclosure is reasonably necessary.  We reserve the right to monitor visitor traffic patterns & website usage to help us develop the design & layout of our websites to enhance your online experience.

Our technology providers use industry-leading Internet security technology & practices.  They use secure server software (SSL) that encrypts the information you input before you send it to us.  All of the data is protected against unauthorized access, as indicated by the secure icon on your browser.  We process information you provide given our legitimate interest & legal obligation to protect our websites & to comply with applicable laws.

We generally retain your PII for as long as is necessary to comply with our legal obligations.  If you no longer want us to use your PII to provide the account to you, you can request that we erase your PII & close your Path of Bliss account.

Please note, however, that if you request the erasure of your personal information:

* We may retain some of your PII as necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as fraud detection & prevention & enhancing safety.  For example, if we need to suspend an account for fraud or safety reasons, we may retain certain information from that Path of Bliss account to prevent that user or customer from opening a new Path of Bliss account in the future.

* We may retain & use your PII to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations.  For example, Path of Bliss may keep some of your PII for tax, legal reporting & auditing obligations & requirements.

* Information you have shared with others (e.g., forum postings) may continue to be publicly visible on our website, even after your Path of Bliss Account is canceled.  However, attribution of such information to you will be removed.  Additionally, some copies of your information (e.g., log records) may remain in our database, but are disassociated from any personal identifiers.

* Because we maintain our website to protect from accidental or malicious loss & destruction, residual copies of your PII may not be removed from our backup systems for a limited period of time.

Withdrawal of Consent, Unsubscribing, Opting Out & Restriction of Processing

Wherever & whenever you have expressly provided your consent to the processing of your PII by Path of Bliss, you have the automatically-reserved option & right at any time & without reservation to discontinue receiving communication from us by way of email or newsletters.   You may withdraw your consent in whole or in part at any time by changing your account settings or by sending a communication to Path of Bliss specifying which consent you are withdrawing.  Please note that the withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing activities based on such consent before its withdrawal.  Additionally, in some jurisdictions, applicable law may give you the right to limit the ways in which we use your PII, in particular where (i) you contest the accuracy of your PII;  (ii) the processing is unlawful & you oppose the erasure of your personal information;  (iii) we no longer need your PII for the purposes of the processing, but you require the information for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims;  or (iv) you have objected to the processing & pending the verification whether the legitimate grounds of Path of Bliss override your own.

If you wish to unsubscribe or opt out from any third party websites, you must go to that specific website to unsubscribe and/or opt-out.
